The tulip shape really does something for the aroma — I poured an IPA and the narrow top kept the head alive way longer than my old pint glasses. They're heavier and sturdier than I expected for the price, and the 16-ounce bowl fits a full bottle with a little room for foam.
Poured a Belgian dubbel into one of these and the wide bowl really does let the aroma open up before the narrow top holds the foam. They're sturdy too—survived the dishwasher on the top rack without clouding up.
The tulip shape genuinely keeps the head on my saisons way longer than my old pint glasses did, and you can smell the hops so much better with that narrow top. They feel sturdy too, not the thin fragile kind. Hand wash only for me, but worth it.
